Personally I wouldn't but an Amazon tablet as they are too restricted with the Amazon software
FireOS is just reskinned Android, install Google Play Store on them and away you go. I found a program on XDA Developers to strip as much Amazon off as possible.

Guys on here I hate proper who ask advice and vanish or don’t take it - I’m latter this time.
As it’s Amazon I can easily return it if no joy but I got this.

£127 with accessories and decent reviews - we shall see.

hope I'm wrong but good luck getting OS updates for that.

Unless its running a custom ROM that is supported.

at least it's android 10

I like that it has an email address facetel-uk1@hotmail.com so presumably facetel-uk was already taken

I’ve had 3 iPads that start slowing down after 2 years (dunno why I’ve reset them etc) / i have low expectations..

Sounds wrong to me. I've not owned a tablet, but parents, sister, partner all have iPads that are five years old and in daily use at a cost-oer year much better than your recent knock off acquisition.

Well firstly they bribe you with £20 for a 5* review making it cheaper but I didn’t leave one.

It comes with a case, Bluetooth keyboard & mouse which don’t work well (case is excellent)

However I’m very pleased, it streams Netflix & amazon really well and can do social media. It will connect to my sky box but won’t stay connected.

I’ve never had android before and was amazed how well it knew me after logging in my google account.

The facial recognition only works in bright light

Sum up, to watch Netflix etc it’s very good value, don’t expect much else.

The Lenovo tablets are good value.

I bought one for £80 - a TB2-X30F - as an Argos special about 5 years ago. It's running Android 6 and security patch from 2016, but runs iPlayer, BT Sport player, Netflix etc very well and has been about the best value piece of IT gear I've bought. By no means the fastest thing in the world, but it keeps going,

When watching Video, "cheapest" is the wrong question. You want something with the best sound (unless using headphones) and largest screen.

I just wanted something a bit bigger than my phone for bedtime Netflix fun. We can put this on a pillow between us and the pic is perfectly acceptable.

I really like my Fire 10 tablet, perfect for downloading a few bits and throwing in a bag for a night away etc with full support for Netflix & Prime

Got a big bump case on mine, hand grip elevates it on treadmill etc as I will take it to the gym and stick it on there to watch stuff rather than faffing logging into the machines

my 7HD has been rattling around in the bottom of my work bag for about 4 years now and still works fine, no case or anything.
