I bought 4, which arrive tomorrow.
House keys and some car keys (different bunches) and then I was chatting to my son about putting one inside his Fender electric guitar! He's at uni and I'm worried that it'll be nicked - I think the tag is small enough to wrap in foam and hide inside it somewhere.

The other thing to note is it only works with peoples devices who have the latest update, which people won’t have necessarily installed as it only came out last week.
… but then (surely) the sort of people who will be buying AirTag will be the sort who care about security on their devices and will be updating (automatically)….? Or am I missing something?K12beano said:

Bit the bullet and bought one with the leather key fob.
I always wanted the tile, but never felt the network of other users was big enough to make it work properly in the UK.
I reckon Apple has the upper hand with its existing number of iPhone users that will make this work as intended.

I’m planning on getting the wife one for her car keys. I’m sick of asking where’s your keys to get the response “in my handbag” to then ask where her fking handbag is!
Relatable.I bought Tiles a couple of months ago for my kids' keyrings but never got round to actually setting them up. Hopefully they will be integrated into Find My as promised, otherwise I'll just buy a couple of these.

Do tiles need the Tile app installed on every phone, or is it an android thing?I always wanted the tile, but never felt the network of other users was big enough to make it work properly in the UK.

I've had a Tile for years and never had a problem with it, but havn't really tested it to the limits either.

I think you need an Apple device for initial setup - but thereafter using a browser should be ok, IIRC “Find My” can be used that way.
Doesn't currently work with Find My via iCloud on a web browser. Restricted to the Find My app on the phone that initially sets the AirTag up.The above and the inability for more than one person/family sharing members to see an AirTag are big omissions that will hopefully be addressed in future updates. As the adage goes with technology, buy when a feature is actually available and not on the promise that it will be delivered.
