These sound great. Like most apple products, (iPad Apple Watch etc) I’m not sure why I need one and then I end up with some and think they’re awesome.

These sound very interesting, was thinking that I would stick on my trailer and eMTB - but then if they start beeping after three days of not being near the phone, does that mean if I go on holiday the things will be beeping at home?

If so, not sure these are the cheap trackers I imagined and more for attaching to things I occasionally lose

Has anyone found a non piss take prices Prime based key holder? I've some - invariably crap - £3 eBay ones coming but I'm guessing someone on here may have experience of some from Amazon?

Cheers

What am I doing wrong with mine then? My wife has gone off with my keys today and the ‘Find My’ app seems to think the keys are here with me!

So far I’m finding it to be little more than a fancy key ring and bordering on st.

She’s running 14.4 I think. So if this is the reason do the tags rely on them coming into Bluetooth contact with someone with 14.5 onwards?

So far I’m not impressed and it only seems to be any use if you’re within 15’ or so of it when you lose it. It spends most of its time saying it’s connected but the signal is weak.

Have her update and try again. I’m 99% it’s a requirement for the air tag to work.

Will give it a go and try again. But to be honest she’s been with a group of people, many who will have had iPhones, and it still didn’t update its location.

If you are buying these to find your keys etc, the Tile Pro's are better.

The Airtag has a much shorter range, and the speaker is much much quieter, it also takes ages for the Airtag to connect to my phone to play a sound.

All in all, it's a bit pants.

I have six Tiles at the moment and now one Airtag, I can't see myself replacing the Tiles TBH.

Updated my wife’s phone with 14.5 and gave her the keys again. Still says they’re with me. I’m decided; these Airtags are fking ste.

Edit: Actually…….she’s left her phone at home today! rolleyes Typical! Ok, so I’ll try again tomorrow and for now retract my ‘ste’ comment.

I was think about getting these and saw loads of bad reviews on here. Upon closer inspection most are actually just crumpet and in the last complaint, the tags were actually showing in the correct location. hehe

I really want to try Airtags now...

Just trying to find something that will be worth putting them on hehe I suppose my work bag with laptop/iPad etc in would be a good start.

Yup.

I’ve just ordered 4, 1 for my daughter’s Oyster card, 1 on my work ID, maybe my bike, wife’s keys? god knows.

Just yet more stuff that Apple make that I have no need for. . . . but as usual have ended up buying. hehe

I also ordered a pair of the Chipolo One Spot trackers. Although they weren’t as cheap as I had hoped - only undercutting the AirTags by £1. The hole for a key ring does make them slightly cheaper than an air tag plus accessory though.

It doesn’t have a U1 chip for the precise location, but I expect they will wear better that the Air Tags, mine is pretty scratched up after a week or two in my pocket.
