...and if you believe Nvidia the 4070 Super is a 3090 beater.

Nvidia press release said:
The RTX 4070 SUPER arrives with 20% more cores than the RTX 4070, making it faster than an RTX 3090 at a fraction of the power. With DLSS 3, its lead stretches to 1.5x faster. It will be available starting Jan. 17 at $599.

Do we think 4070 Super will be around £600 - £650 or is that overly optimistic?
$999/£959 RTX 4080 Super
$799/£769 RTX 4070 Ti Super
$599/£579 RTX 4070 Super

What do we think will be the selling price of non-FE cards? I think you will ad at £100 to the x70 cards and at least £150 to the 80. Unless it goes all stupid again.

The 4070 Super looks good.

I wonder if it’ll finally knock 3070 prices down, which are still stupidly high for what you get.

It’s starting to reflect the used car market out there, where old stuff is going to be costing more than new and far better.
Rebasing of prices incoming?

Could well be tempted for a 4070 Super FE (assuming they do an FE card?) to replace my 3070 FE.

These are really what the 4000 series should have been to begin with.

Still shocking that the 4070 'Ti Super' (what a name) only has 12gigs of VRAM though.

It does not. 4070 Ti super has 16GB.
4070 Super has 12GB

.

Same boat here.

RT is killing my 3070 in the games I've played recently.

If you can actually get 4080 super for 1k, I could be very tempted.

FE are annoyingly noisy, and no easy way to deshroud for a big fan/integrated cooling setup.

I’m after a 3070/TI/3080 Strix card as it’s perfect for my HTPC but the prices are daft.
Fingers crossed for a sensibly priced 4070 Super with a cooler that works as per top end 30 Strix stuff smile

I’m not asking for much haha.

I've undervolted my 3080FE, reduced the noise substantially whilst still keeping sensible temps

Same here on 3070 FE wrt undervolting. It’s tolerable but the fundamental design is still rubbish for a small case.

A real faff on my HTPC system though as it’s non-admin account (kids account) and afterburner isn’t happy running in non admin on its own.

My 3070FE is almost silent?! Way, way less noisy than any third-party card I've ever owned certainly. Are the 40x0 FE cards noisier?

I have FE versions of 20, 30 and 40.
Since 20 series they have got MUCH better. My 30 series was quiet, my 40 series is pretty much silent. I can hear the AIO CPU Cooler pump over the GPU.

But yea, the higher spec versions wont hit in a SFF case..

The FE are fine if you have a normal case.

But in a SFF you want a big HS and big slow case fans drawing in or blowing out over that HS.

The Zotac 4080 Super was up on ocuk for FE price. Seems not all AIBs are ridiculous priced. Also you get dual BIOS, quiet fan mode, even the standard fan mode is quieter than FE fans, and 5 years warranty. A win win really.

My 4090FE is quiet in a small ATX case (Corsair 220T) - well I don't hear it over the static RPM fans in my 6-bay enclosure...and it only has 1CM space between it and the 4 x m.2 add-in card.

Ah I see. My case is one of those big Corsair cube things (carbide Air or something?) with 140mm fans so that probably explains it.
