There may be an issue with the May 23 system update causing random restarts. S21, S22, S23. Lots of online postings but nothing official from Samsung.
If you haven't had it yet and can live with the security implications it might be worth holding off till the next update.
no issues on my s22uIf you haven't had it yet and can live with the security implications it might be worth holding off till the next update.

I've made the switch after years of iPhone, to a black S23 Ultra 512GB. Main reason being the offers on, and the promise of an extra £150 for recycling a phone with a duff battery. But that didn't work out, ended up with £278 for a 12 Pro Max 128GB I'd owned from new - case, screen protector etc from day one, but pulled it up on a scratch by the charge port.
The camera is incredible, the fact they now do a lovely brown leather case helped too (£27.50 on Amazon half price) - then there is the battery life, which on both charging speed and longevity, blows me away.
The Galaxy Buds Live are great too, totally wiping the floor with my 1st gen Airpods, for just £69!
It's very interesting seeing so many Apple users making the switch over to Android. I've not properly searched but I have not seen any Android users going the other way. I wonder if Apply are losing a noticable amount of marketshare

I finally took the plunge last week with a 512GB after EE came up with a decent deal that worked out to be competitive compared to buying the phone outright with the overly generous £250 trade-in offered for my P30 Pro - no free case as per the Samsung offer but a free Samsung Watch 5 that I can sell on.
As other have mentioned I found the move over from my old phone to the new far more painful than anticipated given I store most of my credentials in my Google account and am very much invested in most of the Google apps but I'm getting there day by day, one forgotten password or username at a time.
I haven't had a lot of opportunity to test the camera yet but from what I have tried it's definitely not as magical as I thought it might be but some of the images have been impressive compared to what the P30 Pro would have produced under the same conditions.
It ran an update about 10 minutes ago - the big 2.2GB one Samsung have been promising - they haven't updated the release notes though as it's an "AWF1" version I have.

Word of caution if anyone goes for a trade in deal direct with Samsung.
I got an S23 Ultra trading in a S22 Ultra which was just over 12 months old (longish story but basically it had stopped charging other than wirelessly and wanted some new ear buds so wasn't too bad of a deal).
They send one email saying you owe £330 as you exceed the allowable trade in window. When I contested this saying I had proof of postage, they said the reason is a sent them an A51 which is worth less. I've replied asking for proof of this and to clarify is it the return window or me sending a phone model I've never owned which is the issues.
Conveniently for them, it's taken them longer than the 14 day cooling off period for me to return the S23 Ultra and they'll never send back a trade in device........

That's about £1250 for the Ultra (assuming those prices include tax/VAT). https://www.gsmarena.com/samsung_galaxy_s24_series...
I feel one of those coming on !
