Check you've loaded all the software that comes on the CD first. I bet you have the basic version at home, not the Pro.

I reckon you'll have to Google a freeware scan to PDF app or wait for somwone who knows a bit more about scanning to wander by

If you can find a freeware app then great. I've only come across high end kit which scans straight to PDF. e.g HP Digital senders, high speed Fujitsu stuff etc. (£1000+)
Otherwise buy a copy of full fat Acrobat (about £170) and convert the file afterwards.

Have you got the full version of Adobe Acrobat or just the reader?

you could simply scan the document to something like www.irfanview.com (import from twain) and then use www.cutepdf.com to print out to PDF. Nice free solution!
