I have a couple of wifi "dead spots" in my humble abode, due to walls.
The lappy just won't get a signal on the living room sofa for example.

As it would be unrealistic to remove walls, and the sofa won't fit in the garden, is there a good (cheap) repeater than anyone can recommend?

I have a netgear WGR614 router broadcasting and netgear card setup (Its a 54mb "G" setup)

As is tradional in these questions, my budget will stretch to about £2.50 or as close as possible to it.

Thanks in advance

Try changing the angle of the antenna(s) on the back of the router, worked for me.

The nature of the microwave frequencies used by WiFi gear is such that moving the router six inches in any direction might make a big difference to the transmission range, or more specifically, where the deadspots are. Worth spending an hour playing with the positioning before you stump for a repeater.
