least it wasent' a bolt out of the blue,

or the toaster wouldv'e been (toast) as well

had the same, pc was protected by a belkin power surge thingy that died along with mobo, psu etc, they told me nothing wrong with it and end of discussion, got a replacement power "protector"

you will have to put it down to experience

Same happened to my brother a few years ago, was replaced under contents insurance.
