Our infrastructure has grown to the extent that the current reporting mechanisms (email) are no longer acceptable as too much incoming email is being generated.

Obviously we can switch on the SNMP reporting features of our infrastructure but I'm wondering if anyone has any recommendation for low cost, but quality and feature-rich, SNMP management software?

so far I've found:

Castle Rock SNMPc Network Manager

ManageEngine OpManager (no specific mention of SNMP that I can see)

Service Monitor

NetDecision Network Manager

Intermapper is a good one which is fairly widely used.

I'm not sure what you would class as cheap though.

Thanks, that looks pretty functional and a decent price. I'd welcome more suggestions from people though as we can then choose the best product from what is recommend.

Well if "low cost" extends to free, Nagios is worth a look. I've seen it put to great use elsewhere, and I'm planning to get it installed and start monitoring stuff on our network later this year.
