I'm going to buy Vista.....well.....almost.......
Discussion
I didn't post all the prices cause it was getting a bit tedious, but Ultimate upgrade is about £189, "Delivery: usually 5 days" Allthough it doesnt specifically say if it's retail or OEM I think these prices are retail, in which case XP retail is £210 - so still a fair gap between that and Vista Ultimate. Say Ultimate OEM comes out at a similar %age over XP OEM it'l be around the £100 mark.... which won't leave a lot of room for eight different versions between there and home basic OEM or whatever the bog standard version is called..
**extreme guestimation disclaimer**
ETA: I'm actually looking at one of these upgrade vouchers now and it says it's to upgrade to Vista Business. Apparently you have to go to
http://upgradeweb.moduslink.com/vista
And enter your credit card number, weather thats just for the cost of postage or whatever I don't currently know.

Do I take it from that that there isnt a competitive upgrade path from XP Pro to Vista Ultimate?
According to this page www.microsoft.com/windowsvista/getready/upgradeinfo.mspx there is an upgrade path from XP Pro to Vista Business or Vista Ultimate.
