Right then, wizards!

My PC is incompatible as its only running Windows ME. So, I can't get itunes and thus can't really use the ipod much.

However - I have discovered some software called XPlay 2 which has enabled me to transfer some music from the PC's hard drive onto the ipod.

BUT - it won't let me copy CD's into the ipod. confused It is saying that the CD's are copyrighted and won't allow the copying.

Is this because XPLAY don't have some kind of copying rule whereas itunes does and thus allows you to rip the CD's onto the ipod?

Any help will be really appreciated. I'm like a samll boy with a new toy that I can't use.

I take it xplay will put mp3 stuff onto the ipod if so check out a little utility called cdex. It will take a cd and rip it to mp3. Then xplay it to the ipod

http://sourceforge.net/projects/cdexo

Yes, xplay will put mp3 stuff onto the ipod. I shall give the cdex a try when I get home later.
