I've just signed up with gradwell after some reccomendations and now need a voip phone. As it will be used quite infrequently I don't want to spend the earth on one (so ciscos are out!) I would prefer one that plugs straight into the network rather than one that uses the PC (softphones??). I doubt it from my looking around but are there any that are wireless enabled? Any reccomendations?

Thanks in advance

Netgear do a very tidy looking wireless IP phone but it isn't cheap

It is a Skype phone - don't know if that rules it out for you.

Edited to add that Samsung are working on a GSM/VOIP hybrid phone;

I don't really want to use skype tbh as I have a skype phone already, so I am after a sip(?) phone to plug into the lan, or more preferably a wireless phone to connect to the lan.

For those that were interested I didn't use "skype out" because they didn't offer the area code that I wanted.

Nokia N80IE.

GSM/GPRS/UMTS/WiFi and has a Sip client, so can talk to your SIP endpoints over either the wireless network or indeed the 3G network.

Be prepared to fiddle with it a little to get it set up.
