Not going to bother, unless I can find something with plenty of users and absolutely no spyware/ malware/ adware boocks installed.

Any suggestions?

Emule is fine, just do a spybot sweep after you install it and also remember to open the correct ports in your router (if you have one) otherwise you will end up with lowid ratings thus leading to less download queues.

Just make sure you download the correct one! There are a lot of spyware fakes out there.

File sharing will always = some level of malware etc... Just learn to spot the signs (and don't download exe files, installers etc...)

Keep your AV up to date and make sure you have a good spyware remover and you should be ok.

Shareaza is pretty good as it can search gnutella 1&2, edonkey, and download torrents all at the same time..

I use DC++ for my P2P sharing, and the new beta version out now works like a dream cloud9

It took ages to set up right, but its worth it.

And NO SPY-WARE!!

And for the *nix people Azureus, swine to setup and configure properly but really really good when going.

And thanks to being Java based, it's keeping the house warm with CPU loadhehe

hehe So true...!

Just to note that I installed Azureus on my BSD machine and had no trouble at all. Just slammed the ports in my IP Filter and it worked straight out the box (so to speak) smile Its a good app but I prefer the donkey.

I use google when Im spending money, otherwise PH is works fine wink I gather now that (strangely) one needs to visit web pages to download files. Dont like. Not gonna use it. (each to their own and all that)
