also use utorrent client, but always use peerguardian 2 from http://phoenixlabs.org it certainly comes in useful.

As for viri, spyware, trojans, any client will download lots of these, it depends where u get the files from and if you trust an anonymous member who has just joined the site, instead of one a few years old

I regularly find all of the above, but run decent virus scanners to prevent problems, if you dont want to download malware, torrents are not for you
