hamachi

I've never really tried setting up VPN's just used them occasionally so I thought I'd try hamachi.
Is anybody else using it as I havn't got the foggiest idea what to do once I've installed and connected!

Can I just use it for remote desktop, or do I really have access to the other network as if I'm there?
