Hi All,
I have been thinking of a new business venture for a while and have worked out a large niche in the market for a bi weekly publication.
Does anyone here work for a publishers etc, I have been able to nick the rivals workers and offer them better conditions pay etc when the ball starts rolling.
I have a few questions.
1) computers XP Pro/Win2K Pro, of OS X (Apple Box)
2) wish pagelayout package Quark, pagemaker etc
3) any Printers here that can print 10000 92 page tabloid colour papers and distribute them throughout the UK??? and possible upgrade to a magazine print at a later stage?

I *would* have said Mac. But with Adobe looking like they are going to stop producing/supporting software for it, it may be a dangerous and costly route to start off on. Perhaps PC platform is the way to go, not to mention cheaper.

Again Quark is the defacto, but my friend tells me Adobe InDesign 2.0 is really starting to catch on. Not to mention much much cheaper.
This is my own opionion, as always DYOR.
