Ebay auction is here, suprisingly with no bidders.

Prefer the diamond edged one that was 20 times that much.

You know, if I were in the market for classless vulgar displays of (borrowed or inherited) wealth.

Really? Two mates of mine have them and I had a play at my stag over the weekend. I thought they were brilliant, some really cool functionality. I'm not an Apple nerd, by the way.

One of the major ste things was not being able to send a picture MMS to another handset - you can only send it by email. Shocking oversight, but I think you can send it to <phonenumber>@orange.mms.co.uk or something, for example.

Also it was only £30 a month for the tariff which includes 500 mins, 500 txts and unlimited data. Total bargain compared to my orange tariff.

I'll be getting one.

I am trying to decide on a replacement for my k800i, i have tried the iphone and i wouldnt say it was utter pish it is a very good phone and without a doubt the coolest phone available.
What i don't like about it is the 2.0mp camera without xenon flash (should be at least 3.2mp), and the lack of radio, if it had these i would definately have one.

Diamond iPhone

or maybe a diamond encrused Merc, Ma'am?

a snip at $4.8million

or maybe Ma'am would like a Diamond Bra

and for Sir.... a Diamond encrused 18k gold Hot Wheels car

To kick off Hot Wheels’ 40th anniversary, Mattel unveiled a diamond encrusted 1:64 scale Hot Wheels car. The car is one-of-a-kind and the most expensive in Hot Wheels history. The car is valued at a mere $140,000, is cast in 18k white gold, and includes more than 2,700 diamonds that weigh nearly 23 Carats total.

sounds like a HTC Diamond would be up your street.
3.2Mp camera (ok no flash), FM radio tuner, mp3 player, 4Gb storage, send sms, mms, email.. and its cheaper than an iphone (free on orange i believe)

Except the camera on the Diamond isn't anywhere near the quality of the K800i. Only 4gig of storage? the K800 will take 8gig (maybe more).

And having a K800i, N73 and Touch Dual, I think most people would be pretty hacked off with the UI on the Diamond. It is a little better than that on the Dual, but its still probably the worst UI experience on any mobile that I've ever used.

I hadn't seen the HTC Diamond before it looks like quite a good phone. I have considered the Samsung Tocca which looks good and also the new SE C902i which i like the most as i am coming from a SE so i'll get used to it straight away, it has some good featues but again no xenon flash! How they can put an xenon flash on the old k800i but not on the new C902 i can't understand.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

Do not any of you ever consider buying a HTC phone, they are tripe. The UI is atrocious, the software prone to freezing/being very slow but then it catches up. ie you'll hit a button, nothing happens, so you hit it again, othing happens, so you hit it again and then it flicks through 3 screens. Dire.

I may or may not work for a large Telco testing these damn things.

I was in the same boat (with a K810i) and as I was due for an upgrade, got a W960i (for the music side of things).

Big mistake - UI is slow and clunky and I found I miss the camera more than I miss a decent music play (the K810 is ok, nothing great).

I've been using my old K810i now for the last few months and the W960 is back in it's box.

I upgraded from the old iphone to the 3G one this week and I think it's fanbloodytastic smile The only thing I find annoying is the fact that you can't MMS a photo. That said, most people I know have either a Blackberry or iphone so can view emails and attachments anyway.

There are some great little applications for the phone too. Location based services are definately the future biggrin
