NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!
Do not any of you ever consider buying a HTC phone, they are tripe. The UI is atrocious, the software prone to freezing/being very slow but then it catches up. ie you'll hit a button, nothing happens, so you hit it again, othing happens, so you hit it again and then it flicks through 3 screens. Dire.
I may or may not work for a large Telco testing these damn things.
having had a HTC Typhoon, Tornado, Wizard, Touch and currently a Diamond... and before them a Motorola MPx200 - i havent had any problems with the UI, nor do i find it freezing/lagging or crashing... and with the Diamond, this is the first time i've gone to the trouble of installing a new ROM on the phone.Do not any of you ever consider buying a HTC phone, they are tripe. If they were crap i wouldnt have kept getting em.
(the bit with the Diamond having a fixed 4gb internal storeage is a downside... and i liked having the flash card slot, because i tended to listen to music on the phone, then when in the car, take the flash card out, and put it in the car stereo.)

Have a HTC Tytn 2
the most stable phone i have ever had except for my old Nokia 6210
don't think i have ever had to reset it!
My Touch Dual was (is) stable. But an abortion of a UI thats chronically inconsistent, not well designed, not particularly suitable for a mobile device. Taking the Windows UI over to a mobile? Which idiot at Microsoft thought up that one?the most stable phone i have ever had except for my old Nokia 6210
don't think i have ever had to reset it!
But having said that, I'm keeping it for TomTom, which works massively better than it ever did on my N73.
