And your voice doesn't work... Or are you some sort of pervy heavy breather type fellow?

I disagree that the BB has better email functionality than the iPhone. Certainly HTML email support is very poor on the BB and this is very important to us. Far better on the iPhone.
LOL

I am really tempted to make a video and stick on youtube to get my points accross.
Eah?

I'll tell our CEO that she made a mistake then and ask for her iPhone back? The one she especially requested in addition to her BB as she needed to see HTML emails properly.
I just lol'd at that!

Not wishing to participate in this bum fight but you're entirely wrong about html support. Is she running a old Blackberry/Bes set-up or something?

Well at least she got an Iphone from it!

Edited by Ordinary_Chap on Sunday 25th October 17:39
She has a personal fortune in excess of £40 million so I don't think she needs to come up with an excuse.

I've never been one to claim the iPhone beats all others, or even that it doesn't have flaws in certain areas or that it might not be suited to everyone. I just find this continued bashing of it and more importantly those who choose to own one really strange.
I'm not how having so much money is relevant to this point.

I suspect someone has given her bad advice if she thinks a Blackberry can't render html either that or for some technical reason it's not allowed or maybe she just wants a bigger screen?

Either way, it's just wrong.

Edited by Ordinary_Chap on Sunday 25th October 19:29
Perhaps. I was not directly involved in the decision. However my understanding is that BB mail does some reformatting of the HTML in order to fit a smalled screen. I also understand HTML4 and CSS3 compatibility is not full.
Doesn't ever device format html for a smaller screen?

Platform 5 supports CSS3 and HTML4 in full. The previous platform also did just fine with CSS3 although Blackberry warned it didn't support the full opacity set-up which in my experience never affected anything.

Jamoor, customise your Gmail! That's blue on white is retro! Good job on the video mate but I can't help but feel that, actually, email is infinetly more graceful on the iPhone. Also, moving emails and archiving etc etc is extremely easy / I would say easier. Anyway, all this talk of email and you're forgetting all of the other stuff... and this 'other stuff' is where the BB gets left on the blocks.

Like I said earlier, horses for courses and a BB Bold / Curve is a fine piece of kit, no doubt about it.

I respectfully disagree. According to T3 my lovely new HTC Hero is the best phone of the year.

It is purely touchscreen so therefore it is useless to me.

Therefore your phone isn't as good as mine.

I've had a play with both, and in spite of all its foibles I still prefer my Xperia.

You know that's what I thought too as I had an HTC Touch Plus running Windows mobile. I've been waiting since Jan to get my hands on a Palm Pre, even had my pac code ready and in O2 shop first thing on the launch day. I was really disappointed with the Pre and happily live with a virtual keyboard now. The Android OS is amazing.

This has worked for me every time I've had a new phone. But then again, I do only tend to buy SonyEricssons.

Er, why bother with pairing? Click on "Send as Bluetooth", turn Bluetooth on other phone, click yes when prompted, off you go.

I know it's not exactly an iPhone magic button, but its hardly rocket science either?

Well it is the same ilk as the Blackberry, with a stupid mini QWERTY keyboard.

The good thing about my Nokia is I can use it quickly and easily.

Touchscreens don't work in dusty industrial environments.

Contact->Send as text message->always works->doesn't reveal that you've named your phone "Big Dog's Cock" or something.
