HTC Sensation anyone? Or shall I start a new thread?
Nah, you can do it here.I think there are a lot of people waiting for the Sensation, including me. But I can understand that a lot of "early adopters" jump on the SGS2 if the Sensation is released that late.
From what I've seen with the previous SGS and similar HTC phones, the HTC phones have a much more solid feel to them.

Also, stick a Case-mate barely there case on the SGS II and it'll feel like any other phone
Seems like a whole heap of problems now..
Battery drain issue
Camera having a red spot in the middle
Screen having bad colour banding
Wifi signal very poor
Overheating to the point of being untouchable
Some peoples are completely dying on them
Some people reporting poor GPS
Random reboots
Touch screen has poor response time
Hoping it's only the people with problems that are posting these, and that there are many other happy users. I still want this phone somehow! Does anybody know o2's contract return/refund policy?

To be fair, there have been something like 3 million pre-orders for the phone, so obviously a few will have problem.Battery drain issue

To comment on the issues though:-
Battery drain: I had this, but a firmware update and factory reset have improved matters... but ultimately, it seems like the solution lies with an update to Android 2.3.4 since this issue was experienced by Nexus One / S owners with 2.3.3 also.
Camera issue: Have not had this
Screen banding: I know what they're talking about, but the issue is blown out of all proportion, as its barely noticeable the majority of the time, and will likely be fixed.
Wifi signal: Not had any problems.
Overheating: Nope, but could be related to battery drain if there's something running all the time.
Poor GPS: Well this one works unlike my original SGS. It performs about the same as my Incredible S. Its not 100% accurate but its more than adequate for most... hell even dedicated units are not always 100% accurate.
Random reboots: Not happened to me yet
Touch screen poor response: Not really, maybe not as sensitive as the original but that was almost too sensitive (I used to be able to get a response without even physically touching the screen sometimes on that phone).
On the plus side, its the fastest phone out there bar none, and thats a title even the forthcoming HTC Sensation probably wont be able to steal from it, and it has arguably the best screen of any Android phone too. Once it is refined a bit, it'll also probably have the best battery life of any android phone too. It has the amazing swype keyboard. The camera IMO is SUPERB. It actually even compares quite favourably to my admittedly ageing Sony compact.
So its not without its flaws, but I honestly believe they'll be ironed out with time.
Nicely put TRD. Being the first with anything new does make us somewhat of a guinea pig. Remember the iP4 came out with SERIOUS reception issues... and its primarily a phone.
My re-booting turns out to be a hardware issue, and is being replaced by 3. Really happy with the overall experience, and by god it's fast. Just for amusement I ran a video from sd, one from youtube, and one from bbc iplayer, both over the 3g network without any hesitation
