Mercedes marketing madness
Discussion
I've just ordered a C63 AMG from Mercedes which inevitably means that my email address is now on their mailing list. The first email-shot I have received from them is for "driving lessons". I opened it thinking that it might be an advanced driving course, maybe even with some track tuition, but no, its for 16 year olds to get a head start by learning to drive at a private facility prior to legally being allowed on the roads.
They must be doing a roaring trade if they have so many C63 orders being placed by 16 year olds who haven't yet considered how they might learn to drive! My first car was a Vauxhall Chevette...

I'm guessing they're thinking / hoping you have teenage kids or nephews / nieces that you might want to treat.
Or maybe that you'll post about it on an internet motoring forum to get them some free publicity.
If its the latter then I guess it worked. No kids, nephews or nieces of any kind, let alone of driving age. I'm far too young for that! Or maybe that you'll post about it on an internet motoring forum to get them some free publicity.
