2011 E350 COMAND query
Discussion
It's an irritating design failure. To use any of the COMAND features, you have to turn the system on, which brings with it whatever audio function was last in use; you then have to press the "mute" button to retain the use of whatever COMAND function you wanted without having to suffer the wireless.
Thanks for your replies.
I have been utilising the first suggestion but hoped there was a more sophisticated method.
After having consulted the manual I had suspected the second, but wondered whether something had been omitted.
I had noticed the mute facility but again thought there may have been a more satisfactory method.
Mute it shall be then when reversing the car into the garage or transporting friends or relatives who don't share my eclectic tastes in music!
