Are you going for ceramics in the end?
I've decided currently not to go for ceramics 6point2.I've owned a few Porsche 911 Turbos without ceramics incl a new 991 & had no problems selling them. I think customers who want ceramics will also want the highest spec cars, but I personally think the majority of buyers won't be fussed. Do you agree? (I've had them on my 458 & then a Huracan but it's standard on those models)
Have you ordered them on yours?

I have seen a Lamborghini huracan/gallardo pottering around rbkc a few weeks ago with fa57est. I presume it was you
Great number plate btw, will you move it to the GTR?
Lol yes that's me. I'm a Surrey boy but am regularly up in Knightsbridge with other Supercar owners during the car season 👍Great number plate btw, will you move it to the GTR?
No I'll be getting my 488 Spider early March so it's going onto that.
I don't think anyone will be given a discount on the GTR due to the amount of orders dealers have already in the bank.

Hi guys just wanted to run this spec past you lot to see what you think,
Diamond white£1695
Premium line£3195
Carbon sills£100
19/20 black wheels £510
Yellow seat belts £395
Bucket seats £-
I think the yellow belts with the yellow calipers and yellow traction knob in the centre would work well and the yellow R badge on the back.
Anything else you guys think??
Thanks amg master
lol you've picked the same wheels I'm going for 😂Diamond white£1695

I'm going with your thinking of no ceramic brakes. I'm sure yours will look great.,
My dealer has said to me the standard specs on the GTR might change before we have to finally spec our cars. Sounded a bit strange but let's see.....
You might well be right re UK allocation mintbird.
I'm not going for ceramics personally. As you say it will appeal to some but not to everyone. As with similar car marques you get the christmas tree spec cars with almost every conceivable option & others with great but more normal sporty spec. Im going for the latter. I've still got time to change my mind re the ceramics but at £5k I'm not currently convinced.....

But properly specced cars command a big premium and sell faster.
GT3RS with steels is always a hardcore track user, or a flipper car.
Having followed prices for some time I'd say the Porsches with higher specs are only getting more equal to the value of the extras but not any more.GT3RS with steels is always a hardcore track user, or a flipper car.
I was thinking of going for the premium equipment line myself but it is a lot of money.....
m2m if you've not yet placed a deposit I will be very surprised if you can get a GTR this year. I'd get the dealers you've spoken to, to confirm this in writing to you & if they then suddenly quote you a 2018 delivery that your deposit is refundable.
I understand all orders are submitted to Mercedes GB & production slots are allocated by them. I understand all slots have been allocated up to September delivery already. Also no discounts on this or the GTC models.

On the other hand will support GT R prices further.
That will be a real shame but agreed it will help the residual on the GTR. http://www.carbuzz.com/news/2017/1/18/The-Mercedes...

Hi all,
The amg gtr is going to be the most powerful car but as it's not going be to a limited production car, do you think the amg GT c edition 50 will be more desirable as they are only going to build 100 cars in total, 50 coupes and 50 roadster .
I think it will hold its value or appreciate, my budget doesn't allow me to get a car that depreciates rapidly .
Please give your expert opinion.
Thanks
This is like the limited run of GTS models they sold at the start of production. Agreed they'll be more sought after than the standard GTCs & in sure will look stunning but I think the GTR will attract a premium for longer. The fact that Mercedes are publishing the 2 year waiting list I think is a good sign for the residuals of that model. The dealers are saying the same. I think you'll be if on the edition 50 if you run it for 6-8 months. The amg gtr is going to be the most powerful car but as it's not going be to a limited production car, do you think the amg GT c edition 50 will be more desirable as they are only going to build 100 cars in total, 50 coupes and 50 roadster .

I also had an order for a GTC roadster but apparently there aren't many orders registered for it so I'm cancelling it for the same reason you've said, worries on residuals. Looking forward to my GTR.
[quote=rs200evo]Broadspeed are showing the usual discount on the GT C Roadster. They tend to be pretty accurate with pricing discounts.
I've phoned Broadspeed out of curiosity & as I suspected this was for the run out of the current model. No discounts on the new GTC coupe/ roadster........

I've had my deposits down on both the GTR (it was known as 'GT3' back then) and the Black Series, both since Feb 2015. I have also been told that although the GTR is indeed on a 'first come first served' basis, the Black Series will be allocated according to customer profile and then sorted by date of those chosen customers' deposits. AMG are doing everything they can to weed out car flippers, which I applaud! I have heard the rumours re 'no Black Series' are in fact being put out there to buoy the desirability of the GTR, it is not their intention to drive up values too, but that is the inevitable effect that desirability has on anything. I have opted for Green Hell Magno, very much looking forward to it arriving. It is the first AMG model which will be delivered to all customers on a single enclosed vehicle transporter, directly from Affalterbach, AMG are raising their game, looking forward to the journey with them!
Very exciting indeed & hat off to you for going for the green. Call me boring for going for black but it will look mean with the black wheels. Yes I heard Mercedes are hot on anyone trying to sell their slots for the GTR. Apparently they had already cancelled a couple of customers orders for this reason & I agree! Shame Porsche didn't do that with their GT3s.......
I for one am not ordering ceramics or track pack. Agree with City Slicker in that people are ordering 2 types of spec, those like me for more road driving than track & then those who will be using it for mainly track.
Having spoken to my Porsche dealer (I have the next gen GT3 on order for later this year), they agree, 2 types of spec. Both hold their value well. Also checking used cars it looks like approx 60% of GTs have ceramics, 40% don't.
You've done well for May as I was told June & have been shown that June is the first month of production for UK cars (after celebs etc getting their cars)
My spec is not locked in yet.
