Looks great with your wheel choice! I've gone for the same wheels.
Nice to see different paint colours ordered by forum members. 3 of us have all ordered a diff colour Mines going to look like this:-
Ordinarily I would have done but we are heading to Silverstone for the F1

Nice 5 star review of the GTR today in Autoexpress. I think it's a revamped review but who cares it reads well!

I'm enjoying mine
Loving the insane exhaust note & agreed the gearbox is impressive. Not as good as my 488 gearbox but nevertheless it's a great piece of kit. I like the 4 wheel steer too.
The car gets a lot of attention when out & about. Yes well done Mercedes on producing a fine machine!

[quote=houlbt]Had mine half the Summer, done some miles but not as many as I'd have liked... fantastic car, the theatre is compelling for me in as much as you don't need to drive at license losing speeds to have a bit of fun with this car - and what a noise it makes.
The Traction control is really very clever when you get to play with it although there isn't really any reason you should need to use it on road.
Glad you're enjoying yours
I've done 900 miles in mine since picking it up on the 2nd Sept. absolutely loving it!
Tried launch control a couple of times. Quite a bit of wheel spin but she holds the line well.
Was at a Supercar meet yesterday & fellow Supercar owners were very impressed with the AMG GTR, incl those owning the new Porsche GT3 Gen.2, 675LT, Huracan Performante, Ferrari etc.
In my opinion that edition 50 model is £110,000 over priced. Agreed the GTR is the model to have

Surprised you're using launch control when its not even run in.
I have my second trackday in a GTR (first in my car) tomorrow, enjoying the car but there are lots of niggles that MB need to sort out if its to be taken seriously as a track car.
GVE are a bunch of chancers with that 50th
Only recently tried launch & obviously back off so as not to red line it. Was struggling with traction on those Cup 2 tyres when doing a standing start next to a Porsche RS 4.0.
Interesting hearing a salesman tell my friend that putting it Sport+ doesn't affect the traction control as from my experience it's def more tail happy in S+ on damp roads when pulling away not even at a fast pace. The traction control does its job well though.

Guy I spoke to in Jersey had to wait a year for his ........does absence make the heart go fonder? Patience to hand over your £100k++ Cash
I think it would get prob 10-15k over list for the 1st or 2nd car but they drop in value like the rest of the range. If someone pays out way over list then good luck to them. I wouldn't. Very happy with my choice if model.

Traction control doesn't change when entering sport+ (only race) the reason for traction issues is probably the more aggressive gear changes compared to S or C triggering traction control.
Race actually feels much better when shifting near the read line as the sport traction control setting allows a little slip so traction isn't triggered.
I've experienced it quite a bit at sub 25-30mph & not pushing the car either. As we all know the roads are quite greasy which prob doesn't help.Race actually feels much better when shifting near the read line as the sport traction control setting allows a little slip so traction isn't triggered.
This GTR has had its rear spoiler adjusted up. Anyone played with theirs?
Also quick question, how do you get full beam on at night? When I click my arm forward it says auto & no full beam, so I have to manually hold the arm back to put the full beam on. Must be a Mercedes thing......

Technically thats down.
Mercedes just seem to chuck these on, I've seen a lot of different angles from the factory. I've run mine flat and down on track, honestly can't tell the difference. There's absolutely no way anyone would feel the difference on road.
I would suggest setting the wing flat because it makes a better picnic table for coffee and bacon rolls.
Ok you mean down at the front I meant up at the back. Mine is def more level from the factory. Fair point if you've had it on the track flat.
lol re the breakfast table idea

So no one else has the fixed buckets??
I don't have buckets but expect mirrors are the same regardless of seat type.Off the top of my head without sitting in my GTR as I type, the mirrors need to be switched to the right side for the left mirror to dip when reversing. When mirrors are switched to the left side when reversing it won't dip.
(If I've got it the wrong way round lol, the opposite works)
Let me know if that sorts it.

Hi,
All Merc headlights are same in Auto. Leave them on head with switch away from you and they will auto dip when you come up behind a car or a car comes towards you. Dash shows a A icon in dial, blue head icon willcome on when car decides heads are good.
It works well in cruise driving but when pressing on, they do not come back to full head fast enough after the road clears, ok in my GLE but not as good in my GTR!
So when pressing on turn the headlight dial on right of steering wheel to on instead of A then your back in full control.... I hope that helps?
But remember to switch back to A when you stop.
See you’ve been on Youtube with your car?

Yes sorted the lights. Thanks.
Lol yes 888_mf reached out asking if he could review my GTR. Was good fun. Getting a lot more exposure on Instagram. The feedback on the car is phenomenal. Well done Mercedes!

Glad you're enjoying yours. I'm certainly enjoying mine too
Yes there seem to be a few anti AMG GTR journalists out there but the stats/ facts speak for themselves? It's an awesome car!
The other supercar owners I often meet up with all love it. The first UK delivery of this model was back in June so 6 months on the prices are still a fair way above list. Agreed some are at stupid money.
I'm going on my complimentary AMG 3 hour session on Friday as haven't had time to do it before now.
