I think you’re talking nonsense. The GTR Pro is aero and suspension only, limited run and does nothing to impact the GTR. It’s just like GT3 and GT3 RS, the coexist just fine.

Especially important is that the GTR only gets new headlight internals and a slightly revised interior, not exactly going to cause values to plummet of the current car.

And are people really upset with the GTR values? Cheapest one for sale is £135k with 4500 miles, that’s not bad for a year old as it was what, £150k specced?

It has the facelifted interior too, whether that matters to many. How many of the current GTR owners are going to want to flip their current car for the Pro? A good few I imagine. Surely that'll see the standard GTR price fall as more cars hit the market? This always happens when new 'halo' models launch so I can't see it being much different here but I guess we'll see...

The residual on the GTR’s are doing better than Lamborghini Huracans & McLaren 570’s.

I’m hearing the GTR Pro will be a limited run with barely 50 cars coming to the UK.

Of course the facelift might affect used prices slightly but that’s the same with all Supercar brands. Also I bet Mercedes will up the price on the new facelift models......

I can assure you that I am not talking nonsense, GTR prices are falling through the floor, I previously said that they would be changing hands at £130k to £135k and yes I was wrong, they are trading in the £120's. You are naïve if you look at the trader and think they are selling because NONE of them are, some have been there for nearly a year! Of course they hold money better than Mclarens and Astons etc but that is not much to shout about, Mclarens have always fallen in value like a stone, you will be saying that they hold their value better than Bentley GT's next! and of course any new model will have an impact on used prices regardless of how small the improvement are.

Out of interest for everyone can amg gtr shoppers post the prices their paying currently or offered? now demand has died off and so many for sale, cap book price says 135k retail for 1 year old low mileage.

A Green Hell GTR 2017 '67' 1300 miles £123k at auction and the best bid on a 2018 GTC Coupe 2018 '18' with 770 miles from MB dealer £95k! sold to specialist for £97k, a small loss of £40k in four months and 770 miles, not bad I suppose!!!!!!

The gtc at 125-130k is over priced as a new car because i genuinely think it compare to a 911 or 911s/gts buyer not a gt3 nor 991turbo buyer (who might consider the GTR ).

Yes I knew the ed50 was a waste of time with nothing particularly special about it. I wouldn’t pay more than 2k more than a gtc for one. Ie the cost of the leather quilting seats !

I think the worst residuals of the range are the gtc roadster. A London merc dealer admitted to me last week that they haven’t received even 1 customer order for a Roadster !!! All the roadsters for sale are basically ‘dealer’ owned cars which merc insisted they buy as demo cars.

I agree, the GTC roadster situation is ridiculous and what a car for the money, you could probably haggle with one of these dealers and get an almost new car for 100k ish. Mercedes did exactly the same with the SLS Coupe just before they stopped producing it, you could buy one for £100k. The dealers still couldn't shift them. I think they were returned to MB who used them on the track for Mercedes days!

So we now know the rumoured GTR EVO is actually a GTR PRO.

I had a deposit down for one but have now cancelled my order and had my deposit back as the PRO is disappointing. I was expecting it to be lighter and with more BHP which is what I wanted.

Whilst I like the new interior and the vented front wings, the amendments to the aerodynamics look like an aftermarket body kit and the rear GTR badge just looks naff.

Somewhat disappointed !

I seem to remember I said that this is all it would be some time back! another Mercedes marketing farce but in the process affecting residuals of the current better looking standard GTR. If you really need more than 585 BHP buy a GTR and take it to DMS is Southampton and they will re map it within its safe parameters and get it up to about 670BHP!

I took delivery of my GTR about 3 weeks ago but also had a deposit down for a GTR EVO/PRO too.

I will give it a while and see if 585bhp is enough, which I am sure it will be.

If it isn't then it will probably be a visit to Renntech !

Yeah and there’s a nice bit to come off that once you start haggling, they don’t want to be sitting on that longer than necessary this time of the year!

No I sold mine back in October after doing 3500 happy miles.

When are they planning on stopping production of the GTR? Wasnt it meant to be 2 years of production? They have the GTR roadster to come out yet.......

Im waiting on official confirmation I have a GTR Pro. No.1 at my dealer but still no official word from Mercedes/ AMG UK on when deliveries will start........

From reading the last few pages it seems that several buyers with early allocations have done the same. I think MB shot themselves in the foot when they ramped up production in 2018.

I was also down for the pro back in 2016 but then moved my allocation to the black series. God knows when that will materialise ...

Nevertheless what a brilliant car and at current values they seem somewhat of a bargain. I loved mine but at the same time I wasn’t too sad to see it go
