Anyone still have their GTR?
I have still got mine but I only received it in November 2018 after many missed delivery dates. I think it is a terrific car and am really looking forward to taking it on track.

I am not too bothered about depreciation at the moment as I intend to keep the car for at least 2 - 3 years. However I do notice the glee with which some members on this forum report the latest low (comparatively) price they have found for a used GT R. Presumably they are doing the same thing on MacLaren, Lambo and Aston Martin forums!

I also took delivery of my GTR in November after a delay of six months months.

I intend keeping mine for some years, i.e. 5 to 10 years, so not worried about depreciation.

It will be used for Fun and also looking forward to some trackdays this year with two days already booked at Le Mans Maison Blanche and Le Mans Bugatti.

I cancelled my GTR Pro order once the spec was released. I expected it to be more powerful, lighter and considerably different to the GTR. I don't think the Pro looks as good as the GTR and looks like it has an after market body kit especially at the rear, a naff GTR Pro badge on the rear and I was disappointed.

I doubt I will ever be able to get a Black Series but who knows and perhaps that will be considerably different to the GTR.

If anyone is interested MB Nottingham has a stunning GTR in the showroom zero miles unregistered with full carbon pack which they tell me they would accept £136k.

Just sold my Aston Virage for this and I just love it the noise it makes is quite addictive, roll on the sunshine.

Just returned and had a look at this forum. It’s not with glee as I think flyer put but it just amazes me how any obviously clever successful people on this forum fall for manufacturers, particularly Mercedes’s complete marketing bullst!! 50 GTR Pros, oh brilliant it’s just a GTR but more ugly. The GTC ED50 convertible, a GTC with a paint job as someone put it, 35 to the UK and there is a mega low mileage on on the trader for 130k at the moment not selling and it’s been there for 12 weeks (20k loss) if it went for 130k! Also don’t compare with McLaren and Aston, the two worst depreciation cars I can think of, a 2016, 650 purchased for 260k, 7000 miles just sold for 125k in as new condition!! Compare them to a Ferrari or even a Ford, Mustang Bullitts selling immediately at the moment for 12 to 15 k above list.
Mercedes are a particularly arrogant company with absolutely no loyalty to their customers and unless you can get your hands on a BS buy a used GTR or GTC at a massively reduced price and enjoy trouble free awesome motoring with minimal depreciation. Good luck!

Oh sorry forgot to say MB Warrington have a GTC in white with loads of spec, absolutely new condition, 400 miles, retail at 148k up for 102k and they’ve had it there since late October 2018. Surely 95 to 97 k would buy this!

I'm guilty of loving the deprecation of the gtr only because i'm just a poor gas man looking to jump in and buy a gtr at the right opportunity.

I have ordered the Pro as its meant to be limited edition to just 40 cars for the UK. Waiting for Mercedes to confirm exact numbers/ delivery times.

I think for 98% of GTR customers wont get near a Black series as Project 1 customers will take priority and probably barely 10 for the Uk. Lets see..........

Yes the GTR is losing far less than the Lambos, McLarens etc but agree youve got to buy it to enjoy. Loved mine. Looking forward to getting the next one smile

It’s in a very dark grey almost black metallic with a sparkle in the paint
, it’s a very stricking colour.

These may lose a bit in depreciation initially, but I think they will be a good long term hold. Apart from the fact that they look fantastic and drive like Jehovah’s Chariot.

I see Warrington finally sold their GT C Roadster - diamond white with red and black leather. I was sniffing around that one. In Glasgow yesterday, there was a 68 plate GT C Roadster in satin finish black, Night Pack, black interior, black wheels and black smoked number plates. Looked amazing, and amazingly sinister. There’s fewer good low mileage used than there were.

I've read this thread with interest, I currently drive a GTS Edition 1 which I really like but wondering where to go next.

I can see the value in trading up to a GTC Roadster, I guess the difference would be around £30k but I do wonder about a GTR, are they really £60k better than what I have?

Anybody made that change?

It is a combination of the looks of the wider body, the extra horsepower, and the rear wheel steering. Yes, there is a big difference.

I’ve had a good look around this. Spec is poor, it’s still not priced accordingly (they called me about this when they had it up for £147k)

I’m quite happy the GTR has lost some value as I’m about to buy one and I’m stretching myself for the £120k required to join this club. I’ll be using mine on track a lot.

Anyone taken the plunge on the GTR roadster? If there’s only 750 being made how many will make it to these shores in RHD? No more than 100 surely?

There’s already a silver car with 5k miles for £117,500 at a dealer.

It’s not a pretty car, and that’s being generous.

Does anyone have any real world experience with the Matt Paints offered in the GTR range. Looking closely at hardtop GTR as an option to brightening up my life.........LOL. Never had a Merc before but I like the looks of the car, pity it is a bit lardy but hey ho.

Get it covered in PPF basically. It's expensive but you can use it without the worries of stone chips and bird crap. If a panel needs painting, usually the whole side of the car will be painted as their magno (matte) paints are notoriously difficult to match.
