Buying an R129

Guessing no hardtop with it either (given its not shown in the mulitude of pics).

It's from the dodgy wiring harness period so you're looking at upper/lower harnesses, throttle body etc. Moderately larger brakes so welded lower control arm ball joints.

It's not a bad price though. The R129 really isn't rocketing up in value, despite what every advert would have you believe.

What is the problem with the aftermarket exhaust?
Hard top listed in the blurb but no pics so may be knackered.
As previous it's too far from me to go view but I would be worried about electrics, power roof, corrosion, oil leaks, brake problems, interior damage (dodgy photo of interior)....

Ah fair enough, I only read the ad the other day. Just seems a bit iffy if no picture of it though.

Nail on the head really. He's dropped an SL500 by 2k and now its cheaper than almost all 320s. Obviously a reason for it (or several reasons).

but the roof isn't working and that's potentially not great. Am pretty sure I remember it from when it was last sold and the roof was kaput then.
