Questions About AMG 300E

Hi folks.
I am looking at a 1989 AMG 300E 3.2 with 65000 miles on it originally sold in Japan.
I am a die-hard BMW owner (sorry) and I was wondering what sort of performance a car like this will deliver. (It is 800 miles away from where I live and I have not driven it yet.)
Bear in mind that I am used to M5s, V12 equipped 750s and 3.5l six cylinder equipped 735s.
Will this AMG feel as nippy as my 750 or slower?
