Hope you like your new purchase Ed, noted on the correct colour choice too!

I see you are in Surrey - I'm in Virginia Water if you fancy a meet. Had mine 3 weeks now and if I could take it to bed with me I would. (Ask my wife).....

Biased but I think it looks the best in Blue! I think if I had specified it I would have left the standard wheels, I find mine very fiddly! Also wouldn't have bothered with the silver trim..

Yes be good to catch up, drop me a DM.

First wash this weekend!

I agree, I narrowed it down to the Brilliant Blue after looking at silver, black and grey but of course it’s a personal choice.

I’ll pm you and we can compare owners notes!

There was one of these in blue at the last White Lion meetup, I have to admit it has me scouring the classifieds. Was it one of you chaps?

Any thoughts on further price drops from here? Some nice 2016/16 models out there with <10k miles on for 80-85k and well specced. I guess over a year (and another 5-10k miles) could head towrads mid 70s?

I bought a GTS two weeks ago, beautiful car and for 24 hours I was very pleased with it.

The day after I picked the car up it broke down with ‘transmission malfunction’ it was eventually recovered by Mercedes Assist to our local Mercedes-AMG dealer who have now had the car 2 weeks.
It has taken then a week to find the problem, strange that it has taken so long as it is the common fault of the carbon driveshaft (prop shaft) bonding failing, the clues were all there including the burning smell.

The part has arrived from amg 3 days ago and now I’m being told it will be next week before the car is ready, so I’m really not happy.

The car has done 7000 miles and now I’m very concerned about the reliability of it, but I’m really hoping I’m wrong as with only the very short time I had it, I was very impressed!

I will keep everyone informed of the outcome.

Cheers

Shouldn't have taken the dealer that long to diagnose if the propshaft failure is common.

Have Mercedes now updated the carbon prop shaft or are they simply replacing with like for like ?

Im not sure to be honest, I’m speaking to the dealer tomorrow and hopefully they will give me some good news. Looking forward to getting it back.
