Anyone managed to get better sound, maybe even the look of the Coupe out of the CLK63 Cabriolet? Any quick cheap options if messing with the air filters? It's such a glorious engine I just feel it's not really sounding as good as it should,...

I had the same problem as you- i wanted more sound and action ( without making my Merc a Chavmobile)

I had my local garage drop the exhaust and open up the secondary cats from the top and empty them, It gives me a result which is stock to all observers (including Mr MOT man) but lets the car sing a bit more.



Now i know that some people will slate me for this but the car has passed 3 MOTs since done so far with no problems.

A few people have said" here, that's a fake AMG, it hasn't got the exhausts !!!.
I opted not to add quad pipes to my cab because of 1- added weight and it loses a bit of that Q car that i love about my car.
