Looking to lease a CLA Shooting Brake on a 2 year deal and understand they are 12 month or 15k mile service intervals - anyone know the cost of a first service with say 10k miles?

Much more expensive than a BMW or Audi that's for sure. It's the worst part of living with a Mercedes to be fair. The first service on my GLC was £400...just for an oil change!! yikes

My first service on my E220 was £360 at a MBZ main dealer, as a guide....

Not as bad as i thought then, I did call the local dealer to ask but was told unless i had a reg or VIN No. then they were unable to give me a price!!

Merc service pricing these days is geared towards you taking a service plan.

If you just google Mercedes service plan youll find the page where you can quote for a car without a vin or reg.

For a CLA over 2 services/2 years its £28 a month so £336 a year - I dont think thats bad, remember it includes your Mobilo breakdown cover.

Had my first service on a C63 yesterday and it came to £258! I supplied the 9 litres of oil purchased from Ebay at £40 that brought the total down. They want £16 odd a litre otherwise. Worth a try.

i think you definitely have to take the servicing costs into account when leasing, At present i have an A4 Avant on a 2 year deal which will go back 2 weeks BEFORE it even needs its FIRST service!!
