Mine was very sensitive to moisture in the distributor, I bought new parts from GSF, one of the caps was faulty although it looked OK.
It was a regular job removing the caps and rotor arms and drying it all out, then it would run ok for a while.
Not sure if your year car suffers from the disintegrating wiring harness insulation, affecting the engine loom

Had the same on mine. I used to give it a good blast with a hair dryer for about 5 mins. Normally did the trick. Fitted a new one only to find mine was missing some kind of gasket IiIRC.It was a regular job removing the caps and rotor arms and drying it all out, then it would run ok for a while.

After all of this a mechanic had a look and said it's a fuel problem. i changed the fuel filter 18 months ago. So i change it again . Now it won't start. The fuel pump comes on for about a second. Have i created an air block if so how do i unblock it
any suggestions Billy
Up date .The fuel is getting to distributor .one of the channels looks yellow maybe that's the one that's miss firing.
can't understand why its not firing like it was before . i put some easy start down the air chamber tries to start
any suggestions Billy
