Just need to remember to have mercedes me disconnect my profile and account before it gets returned as its against t'cs and c's to use connected features during the lease

Are there any free to use services within Mercedes Me app or Do i have to pay for all.

Any recommendations to make Mercedes Me pp worth using..

I think it was only getting me sorted that then sorted out online map updates to work (useful but not essential), sos features are quite cool, remote diagnostics i.e. if there's a problem the car sends telematics to them and you can talk to them.

Also you can use them as a concierge, I've not asked them for good music recommendations yet but I will do next time i'm bored whilst driving!!

Online Map Update £149.00
Vehicle Update £29.00

I think im going to get Apple Carplay after delivery. Apple Music is a necessity.

Nope I didn't pay for anything.

The maps updates just seemed to happen.
I've had at least 3 software updates since I had the car though so something's working.

Hold fire on the Apple Carplay. I've had it on my last 2 leases so for the past 4 years and I was going to get it added on after taking delivery but thought I'd see how I got on and to be honest I haven't missed it at all. See how you get on...

We currently have it on an A4. We use it purely for Apple Music and Messaging/Call/Whatsapp via Siri. Dont use it for Apple Maps as Audi Nav is brilliant together with all the speed camera database. Im going to miss the speed camera warning the most.

Yeah I only used it for Apple Music really but find the Merc Bluetooth player just as good. I suppose for the messaging functionality you will miss it but I never used it myself.

You may find yourself using it for the maps then as the Merc Sat Nav looks like it belongs in the 90's. I'm also coming from an Audi so have been spoilt with their built in Google Maps.

The Merc has speed limit warnings on the dashboard - really good to be fair.

I find it annoying than it can only be set for limit+5mph, which (for me) is too low on motorways etc!

Most annoying thing is the seatbelt prompt that can't detect when seats are empty so stays on the screen when you first start up lol

minor detail but never seen that in any other car!

haven't even got the car yet but what are mercedes like when handing the car back after your lease ? I'm getting car from arnold clark mercedes benz perth branch always heard mercedes to be alot more picky with things others would be ?

I use it more as guide when I'm on unfamiliar roads and not sure of the speed limit. Then add 10% plus 2 :-)

Yeah I've noticed that too - really annoying! Also the seatbelt beep never goes off lol comes back on after a few minutes break.

Does Merc Nav lets you add special destinations. I have used that feature on Audi Nav to add GATSO Speed Cameras (like many others) and they show up when im approaching one.
