The plus side of all this waiting etc is I'm more active on the forums. Learning stuff and reading everyone's experiences.

I just got reply back from Arnold Clark advising me delivery on track for mid November to me.

Just had another conversation with AC & they have fired off an email to Daimler (Merc) requesting a courtesy car.
So we will see what happens.

I will post again when i have a further update

We must have got lucky. As brothers car arrived on the 4th of September, it was one of the first ordered mind you.

It did have a small delay at the factory. But was always going to be delivered in September

Ah its's Colin. I placed an order with him last year when they were doing an amazing deal on the GLA 180 Urban Edition. Ordered the car in Jan for an April delivery then received an email in March saying there's been production delays in the factory so July is the new delivery date then in June I got another email saying I'd been allocated a build slot in July which realistically would have meant delivery around September.

I'm starting to think they over order and because of that their allocation gets pushed back...

I think I got told middle/end November now. Given up chasing them and after st customer service from Ford these aren't much better.

It will take a brilliant deal next time for me to use them again I know that much.

I totally believe they ordered far too many. Get as many orders as possible & deal with the consequences later.

definitely put too many orders through I ordered mine 6th of may and noticed a few guys on hukd had ordered only a few days before mines and got there cars in july, dont know how they work the allocation of build slots was told I would have the car August.

then was told had a build slot and I'm now getting the car on the 1st of october, was tempted a few times to just cancel but was a great deal and managed to hang on !

hopefully get your cars soon guys!

Yep, had a conversation today with Colin & Merc have agreed to let me have a courtesy car from 07/10. Just waiting for Auto XP to contact me to make arrangements, which i can keep until my car from AC arrives on 05/11.
Apparantly I need to arrange the insurance on it, which I can live with.
Even though I feel ive been messed about quite a bit Colin has come up trumps.

I fired email to Nicky on Wednesday to check if its still possible to add smartphone pack to my order.

He replied back with a screenshot from someone at the dealership saying unfortunately its too late to add that pack.

Yeah generally once the order is "locked in" and the car has been assigned a build date etc you can't add any options.

I think VAG allow it but it means your build date gets pushed back as if you have placed a new order.

It might be something you can retrofit?

Yeah I had hill hold added to A4 after the build date confirmation.

Car play can be enabled via Mercedes Me £299 only thing missing will be wireless charging
