Yeah Pink Leasing with the funder being Close Brothers so I think its their charges rather than Pink.

They are definitely damaged and I have no issue with them being flagged up but it's just the charge is quite high when comparing it to VWFS but not when you look at the cost to refurb a diamond cut alloy which is always around £100. So yeah I suppose I should just accept the fact that this isn't VWFS and the charge is fair in terms of the market cost for such a repair.
Totally agree. On our previous A4 one alloy was damaged and VWFS never charged us.

My lease A180D returns in April after one year lease from Pink.
Just checking everything and can't find the owners manual & service book. However cant actually remember ever seeing them! Does anyone know if they come with a physical manual/ service book?
Owners manual is available through the centre display in the car.

My A180 has a physical manual, but no service book.

Hi everyone,

I have a a180d from the Pink leasing 1 year deal. Car is due to go back by 30 April. Am sat in the car and have scrolled through the menu and it says service A due in 58 days.

Does anyone know when service light comes on? Also, is it a problem (am I liable) if light is on but as long as vehicle is returned before actual due date (58 days from today) which I work out to be 30 April as well?

Thanks

I had a pretty unpleasant call with Pink, originally advised that the monthly's would jump to £275 - after some discussion they agreed that it could be extended on an as-is basis. We obviously now have the 1st year service to contend with!! Without wanting to break code of PH, does the Service have to be done at Mercedes? Are they not closed?

I had been told a while ago I could extend for another year at the same price which is what I was going to do however I made contact last week and they said it’s month by month so will probably just keep till just before second service now then send back.
I had booked mine in at Mercedes on the 23rd April for service so not sure what will happen 🤷‍♂️ I believe you can book it at a vat registered garage but it won’t then be on Mercedes computerised service system which I don’t suppose matters when your not keeping it I just didn’t want any hassle so thought it would be easier go Mercedes.

I was also wondering how long we could use the vehicle for when Service Light triggers without invalidating warranty. Pink have advised that Mercedes are relaxing the rules and will simply backdate to when service actually happens. Presume we simply have to keep checking oil/water levels whilst running it over the due date?

Please see below communication we have received from Mercedes –
“Servicing

If you’re unable to book a service appointment when a car’s service is due, we’ve implemented a temporary revised limit for overdue services:

§ For Mercedes-Benz cars, the limit has increased to the sooner of 180 days past the current due date for a service to be completed or the vehicle reaching the 3,728 mileage interval for a service to be completed (previously 90 days / 1,864 mileage interval).

§ For smart vehicles, the limit has increased to the sooner of 180 days past the current due date for a service to be completed or the vehicle reaching an excess of 20% of the current mileage interval for a service to be completed (previously 90 days / mileage interval exceeded by 10%).

Please be advised that delays to your vehicles being serviced, which are within the temporary revised limits for servicing set out above, will not invalidate a vehicle’s warranty. However all of the other obligations and exclusions in relation to a vehicle’s warranty remain. "

I got the same reply few months backs. I ended up ordering Qashqai with them to keep me ticking for another 3 years until things settle down plus it was a good deal in current climate.

Qashqai N Connect 158 Auto
3x35
10k miles
£262 per month
Plus Metallic paint

Recently asked the question re collection and was told AC will collect the car and not BCA.

They will drop Qashqai and collect A Class on same day.
