...just under 30kmiles. Warranty was £850 for 2 years, purchased late ‘19. Note that, warranty wording does not appear to explicitly tie me to MB servicing, but I can imagine claiming might be more tricky if it was not.

Repairs being carried out today and they price matched the new tyres.
Ok, thanks for the info: in case you’re interested, I was also quoted £850 for 2 years, but will keep it for 3, so the monthly option seems to make the most sense.

Hope the repairs went well!

Got the car back with prop shaft bearing replaced. Apparently not uncommon as there is a diagnosis and repair guide for it. Turns out the inner scrubbed rear tyres are a camber issue....and apparently the camber is not adjustable on these.....so awaiting a plan on how to proceed. More warranty repairs.

I'm about 3 weeks into ownership of a 2017 C43 with 20,000 mls I've still 4 months MB warranty remaining. Interesting to see what some have been quoted for extending with MB. I made an initial inquiry yesterday, to which I need to call back app 1 month before the warranty runs out. But I got a rough quote which was for a Tier 1 warranty. 1 year was £1,399. 2 years £2,750 or £133 per month. Warranty Direct are quoting £500.00 per annum for their all bells and whistles warranty. Fair difference. I think I'll try and haggle with MB closer to time.....if possible? I know I definitely need to have some sort of warranty and would prefer it to be MB but WD seem to get good reviews.

eekeekeek
That is even more expensive than the eye watering BMW warranty quoted earlier.
A price like that suggests 1 of 2 things to me.....maybe both!
1. They are bending you over and hope you will pay it
2. They have very little confidence in their product.

I can accept no 1 Ron wink only fair for a major company to try and rip us poor sods off first time of asking. I will try and haggle next time I'm on the blower based on the other quotes posted, see where I get. If not it's WD for me I think

I'll not go there with no 2 laugh

I also looked at WD as they seem to be the ‘least badly’ reviewed by most and were less than half the price of the MB one... it does feel like a bit of a risk though, so I’m still very unsure. Interesting about the higher cost they want to charge you, though...

Does anyone have any comments on how long tyres last on the C43? One of mine has a slight bulge (not enough for an MOT advisory, apparently) and I was wondering whether I ought to replace all tyres at the same time I replace that... the current ones have done 11.5k miles.

Hey Bob. I"ve had a look through previous posts on PH and WD don't come across as too great. I'm definitely having second thoughts.

I had 4 new Bridgestone run flats fitted to the car prior to collection and that was at 19700 mls. I'm pretty sure you need to do all 4 tyres at once being a 4 wheel drive. Sorry if you know this already...granny and eggs

Are you enjoying your car? I love mine. The noise they make is fantastic. I'm still getting used to it. I thought my Subaru was quick....

No, I didn’t know that: thanks for assuming I have greater knowledge than I really do! I looked into this a bit (one puncture on a new tyre could write off ~£600 of rubber if that were the case) and it seems some reckon the tyres need changing in pairs; others reckon all 4 at once... obviously any feedback from owners on this would be welcome.

I picked mine up yesterday and I can’t stop looking at it! It’s debadged and doesn’t have the sports exhaust (not what I would have chosen, but it’s got a good spec beyond that!), but I still absolutely love the noise it makes and the instantaneousness (?) of the acceleration off the line in Sport+. In damp conditions it’d leave the RWD C63 for dead. Running costs, warranty and insurance may end up bankrupting me, but right now I don’t much care!

I’d love to hear your thoughts as well, Sub5! What spec do you have?

Here’s a completely unnecessary picture of my new pride and joy:

There are a few theories Bob. I believe it's good practice to change all 4 because of the rolling radius. You could get away with 2 tyres being changed on the same axle if the tread difference is not too great front to rear. Same if you had to write off a newish Tyre, you could replace 1, again if the tread difference isn't too great on the same axle. usually you would rotate for even wear but with the backs being wider that's not possible. I believe MB even recommend changing summer tyres at 3mm.

Superb....you'll be absolutely buzzing. You cant take the monies with you and it's making fook all in the banks just now....enjoy while you can. They certainly go like a scalded cat in sports plus. Car and driver have timed these doing 0-60 at 4.1 secs. You tube has various clips of owners doing 4.2 secs so MB were very conservative with figures. https://www.caranddriver.com/mercedes-amg/c43. Their also happy pottering about in comfort mode so a bit of a Jekyll and Hyde car wink

I'm afraid I've not much spec to bash on about. Mine one you could say is poverty spec. I went more on condition, mileage, owners and price. And of course trade in. But I still love it it certainly still has more toys than my Subaru and the grin factor is amazing

late 2017 with 1 owner, 19,700 miles when I picked her up 3 weeks ago. Only got to drive her for 2 weeks and I've had to go away with work. So sitting at the Airport waiting for me to come back.

Here's a picture of the car when it was advertised and which sold it to me. I paid £28.000 which I believe is and excellent price.

Looks lovely! Auto100 actually had a few cars on my AT shortlist: how was the buying experience?

I would have preferred a coupé, but I just need the practicality of 4 doors... Also, the spec is largely irrelevant: it’s all about that V6!

I can honestly say the buying experience was really good. The alloys were refurbished and it had 4 new tyres fitted prior to collection. The car was presented all cleaned and polished. I might've got more for my car had I went down with it prior to buying but it was a 420 mile trip and all haggling was done over the phone. I would buy another car from them in a heartbeat.

Have you thought about joining a dedicated MB forum. I've joined MB Club UK. Really nice bunch of folks by the way. Your also eligible to join the AMG Private Lounge cool

Post some pictures when you get a chance Bob I'd like to see your beastie

I’ve now signed up for the MB forum: thanks for the heads up!

I’m not sure anyone’s asked for pictures of ‘my beastie’ before! Assuming you mean the Merc, happy to oblige:

Ha Ha: she looks a belter...the car too laugh. Nice colour interior with the extended leather seats. As you say nice spec one. I hope you enjoy her. Hopefully see you on the MB Club forum.

Anyone had any crabbing issues? I noticed today that I’ve Continentals on the rear and Goodyear F1 runflats on the front: I’m guessing this is because of crabbing...
