Any reason not to buy a W205 C63?

Thank you.
Not many estate for sale. I've noticed a few with a different front grill? Is that an aftermarket fit
Facelift has the Panamerica grill, includes a whole host of other updates other than visually. You can buy the grill for an earlier car and swap them though. Not many estate for sale. I've noticed a few with a different front grill? Is that an aftermarket fit

Facelift W205 from around 2019 have the "Panamericana" grill with the vertical slats
An easy and common swap for a pre-facelift. https://www.mercedesgrills.com/w205-c63-amg-models

In thinking of changing my 2012 XFR for a C63 W205. I'm averaging 19MPG at present, which is affordable but just annoying filling up so frequently.
My driving is predominantly Town or A roads. Would the Mercs mpg be any better?
Probably no better. I average 20mpg but that's mainly town driving. It returns 30+mpg on the motorway though. My driving is predominantly Town or A roads. Would the Mercs mpg be any better?

The 205 C63 is actually 'really' cough good on fuel if you are on a long run on the motorway. I won't share the single digit photos I managed from a track day but somewhere around 7mpg if you are really on it.
Thanks.XFR is similar on the motorway in all fairness.
Is it easy to add Android Auto ?

If you get a facelift car I believe it's already there (sorry not an Android user), but pre-facelift I keep seeing replacements centre console screens that include stuff like YouTube, Netflix apps so I would think it would include Android auto. XFR is similar on the motorway in all fairness.

Couldn't agree with you there, if anything it's the opposite. I've been following the C63S coupes on AT/Pistonheads - before and since buying my coupe in January - and most of the late, FL low mileage cars with warranty, that werent modified or with multiple owners have sold. These cars were advertised at mid sixties plus and IMO represented the better end of what was available.
Those still available appear less desirable for various reasons.

well, you don't know what they sold for. All I've had is traders sniffing around. It is priced fairly. Anyway. Those still available appear less desirable for various reasons.
I know that three of the 5 cars I was interested in all went within 1-2k of their advertised mid sixy price. The other two were sold by dealers and I'm pretty sure MB don't give them away at fifty anything when advertising them at £65-67k.
I'm not saying there aren't deals to be had, but the low mileage coupes are definitely selling/sold and that's in a tough cost of living environment. Whether those prices will hold for the rest of the year however, is anyone's guess.

mine is a 2016. Not the same sort of price point. I'm not saying there aren't deals to be had, but the low mileage coupes are definitely selling/sold and that's in a tough cost of living environment. Whether those prices will hold for the rest of the year however, is anyone's guess.
It's not the same price point, but you didn't stipulate when you said '...values... are tanking'.
You're selling an early model V8 bi-turbo estate, with 50k miles and a 625bhp remap. I'd say that's a rather narrower window for buyers, than the C63s range as a whole. Either way GLWTS.

Not sure why you're copping an attitude over it, or indeed why you give a st at all. Nice added snobby snottiness there too, looking down on someone with an 'early model' like they're st on your shoe despite it being a virtually identical car. This thread is about the W205. Good luck with your assumption that 'your end of the market' is bucking an overall downward trend, as is entirely predictable, likely driven by cost of living crisis and whatever else. It's not like your car is so insanely expensive that it could only be owned by those who are incredibly wealthy and therefore impervious to rising costs. It is entirely obvious that the supply of certain types of car (second cars, classic cars, performance cars etc.) is increasing for exactly those reasons, and demand reducing, again exactly the same root cause. Used car values are cyclical and we've been on a fairly long upward trend for some time. The triggers for a switch are inflation, interest rates, disposable income, employment rates, consumer confidence... you know all the usual macroeconomic factors. C63 values experienced a brief pump over the last 2 years due to the 'you only live once' and 'last of the V8s' factors, but economic factors influencing forced sales will likely override these. I don't know where you're getting your data or indeed your attitude from but you can keep both. Maybe you're just worried you bought at an absolute high price point. You probably did. You're selling an early model V8 bi-turbo estate, with 50k miles and a 625bhp remap. I'd say that's a rather narrower window for buyers, than the C63s range as a whole. Ooook. You made a comment re values tanking. I didn't agree, I explained why, based on my experience. Take it or leave it, it's a discussion form.
Wrt my attitude or a slight on you due to having an older car...? Umm what now? These are just Mercs, not Ferraris or something actually sought after. Chill. I paid what I paid based on my perogative. It's a depreciating asset, I'm ok with that. You bought what you bought, I simply pointed out the difference and why certain areas of the market (the bit I was looking at) are moving differently. Don't get your panties in a bunch over it, life is too short. I'm going to enjoy my overpriced bourble, even at this price it's better than the souless EVs my friends drive. I just wish I'd gotten into C63s earlier so I could have enjoyed the W204 also.
I actually meant what I said, GLWTS. Not going EV are you?
