Looking for a bit of guidance, my old chicken chaser C200 Kompressor has developed a problem.

It's a 2003 model with 107k miles on the clock. Rusty as hell underneath but still passes the annual MOT.

Essentially it will turn over once maybe twice without firing and then appears to stop any power going to the starter. Almost as though the power has been cut or the key turned back to position 0.

We've run diagnostics and the one permanent code points to the ME-SFI being faulty.

A couple of questions if you will,

Is it worth replacing the module?
If so what sort of cost is a new module and roughly how long should it take.

I'm not particularly attached to the car as I bought it 4 years ago off eBay for £925. But it has up to now been a worthy back up to my main car.

The plan was originally to do a Top Gear type of road trip across Europe in to Turkey do some site seeing over several months and back again... but Covid got in the way... I'd still like to do that if it's financially viable to save the car though.

Is it worth saving or should it be offered to the local scrappy?

Inside it's not an unpleasant environment the only thing that's not working is the A/C which could do with a re-gass, but everything else works as it should. Seats are cloth but not worn or torn and were protected by the previous by some industrial seat covers along with the carpet/mats which had been covered by what can only be described as off cuts from someone's living room carpet from the 1970s...
