Retrofitting parking sensors

Hi,
I've recently bought my first Mercedes, a 2002 ML270cdi, and just wondered whether anyone has diy retrofitted parking sensors before
I've already bought some new MB sensors and loom, from ebay, on the off chance that they're a universal fit for all models
I take it the car will already have the wiring connections in place, so I'll just need a control unit and buzzer?
Any help appreciated
