New owner with question - SLK32 AMG
Discussion
Hi all
I recently bought a very nice SLK32 AMG which is proving to be a cracking car with performance aplenty, but I have noticed that on poor road surfaces the car tramlines quite a bit (occasionally lurching into truck tyre grooves and the like). I know wide-tyred cars often suffer from tramlining and it isn't anything that a firm hold of the wheel can't prevent, but if other people don't have the same problem I will get the tracking / geo looked at.
The car is running the same tyre all round (Michelin Pilot 2s).
Can anyone put my mind at ease?
Many thanks

Hallo
These problems are very normal, less on new tyres, but nothing to worry about,
except when wet ;-)
I had for 2 years ...(horrible!!) depreciation, an SLK32 with various "things", like a race-LSD etc., a really twitchy
lady :-)), great souvenirs,... then for 4 years an SLK55, with an LSD etc.,the latter was much more forgiving, but still a super-great car to drive, both never had a problem
on "megahoons" in various countries, but do not ask me about rear-tyre-bills,
they lasted 4-5ooo miles......
Just enjoy it, watch your tyre pressure and profile.
