SLK230 R170 Gearbox Problem

Have had a small issue arise with my SLK over the last couple of weeks and was wondering if anyone could shed any light on it.

Under hard accelleration my gearbox seems to be slipping when going from 2nd to third gear on the auto 'box. It seems to change gear but then does nothing for a moment and then seems to change again and quite ferociously before continuing normally. It doesn't do it between any other gears and is absolutely fine when accellerating at a normal speed.

I'm hoping it's not gonna be too expensive to fix!

Any ideas would be great so I have an idea of what it is before I take it to the dealer/specialist.

Lastly, if you know any good Mercedes specialists in the Maidstone area it would be much appreciated.

Get the fluid level checked..........

Tried that. Levels are all fine. Had a chat with a mechanic friend of mine and he thinks it could be the wiring loom. Apparently they go hard and brittle and could cause issues similar to this.
