420 SL Starting prob

If anyone can helpme.I have a 1987 420 SL with 150000 miles on it.When it is left for a few hours I start it up and it fires straightaway but if I try to set off or increase the revs it stutters and sometimes stalls.If I start it and leave it a minute it is fine or if i really floor it after 10 seconds of stuttering again it is fine.Any ideas anyone ?thanks

Weird. If it had carbs that would be symptomatic of carb icing. (Run like a dog - stall - wait a bit - start and run fine).

Is it temperature related, does the car run ok when warm?

What injection system do they run, is it Bosch KE?

Does this motor still have a warm up regulator?

problem is just on start up,so prbably you could call it cold,do not know about the warm regulator

Really need to know which injection system it uses. Bosch K or Bosch KE.
