I'm looking at getting a new shape SLK...it's an absolute minter...lovely car, one owner, however the thing is, it doesn't have the air scarf or seat heating! Is it possible to retro fit this? If so can anyone recommend a company & how much money would I be looking at?

Thanks,

David

Yes it is possible. It is possible to retrofit pretty much any optional extra.

Cost I suspect would be huge. Mere heated seats would be less than airscarf but still expensive. Realistically, unless you have the mechanical and upholstery skills yourself (or stacks of cash) it is a non-starter.

Have a look here:

http://www.trimtechnik.net/dealerproducts/heated.h...

We have used them to retro-fit leather in some of our cars before and they do a great professional job, they come to you as well. IIRC the heated seats were about £600, so not too bad considering it is a £320 mercedes option.

Thanks for that! I will give them a call tomorrow....could be a deal breaker on the SLK as it's at a very good price!
