Looks like a nice car in a decent colour. Have you checked out the trader for prices of similar cars? I would hold out for another £1K off that price and aim for £7K. Its a buyer market, and not the time for the average punter to be buying thirsty, high tax band convertibles.

Just a thought!

Thanks Merc for your reply.

Just taking a look now for similar cars.
The Wheels are not AMG though on the above vehicle - does this affect the price and insurance ?

Cheers

I personally would not worry about non AMG wheels, they were an optional extra anyway. They may incur a few extra £'s on the insurance.

Nice miles, good colour combo. You'd love it to start with a 6 but I don't think it's over the top on price.

Please be aware that the 200 is about as powerful as a vacuum cleaner.

No, more like one of those push along ones your Gran used to have.

The CLK is a heavy car. the 230k is bad enough, the 200 is woeful.

I have a 230K Conv with all the extras less command. AMG alloys etc...
mine is a 52 reg with 50K miles. I paid 9.5K a couple of months ago. I have decided I need a car I can carry my bike on and so may chop it in. I reckon I would get 7 - 8K in current market. 230K perf is ok , 200 must be rubbish.

Unless you like hard anal sex because it will stuck up your arse so far, you'll be brushing its bumper every morning.

Merc and manual do NOT go together.

You will have a very hard time trying to sell it.

You will also be working that gearbox like a wes knickers to get out any performance from the car.

The key problem with a manual is that Mercs have a foot operated handbrake (so to speak) which means that you struggle on hill starts etc - hence manuals are quite rare and nobody wants them. Re performance, i had a CLK230 which was slow but adequate. It did have 320 badges on it though which probably made it a bit quicker!

The 200 will be leisurely in performance but it is all relative to what you are used to and looking for.
