Merc G class 4wd 400 cdi cab

Hi Everyone,

I usually post on the porsche forum... but let' s try smthg here....
A friend of mine is looking to buy one of the above.
What are they like to drive?
How is the engine? Being a diesel i would think lots of torque and powerfull enough.
Is fuel consumption a nightmare?

They are a pretty rare vehicle

My boss just sold a supercharged range rover and now has a GL500, I picked it up from London and drove it to Aberdeen and have been running it for a week.
It's brilliant and more economical than the RR and it uses normal unleaded fuel as well as going like a scalded cat 5.5L V8
