We've got a new one in stock if you fancy it??
Why???No really Im curious
I have followed your posts here and you seem like a decent chap
I mean well with this post
Its not a p1ss take - honest
But seriously why wold a dealer have a new AMG ML in stock?
I cant think of a more unpopular car at the moment
Is it a cancelled order from which you have kept the deposit or do MB UK drop cars such as this on you to sell from time to time?
Cheers

500cc semi electric cars.
May I suggest you are posting on the wrong forum
Mark.
Most, if not all, Merc dealers are owned by large automotive groups, Inchcape etc. There are virtually no 'independent' dealers left in their network. So, I would expect there to be many MLs in stock around the country, cars which can be passed from dealer to dealer dependent on where the demand is. I would also think there is an arrangement with Merc UK, which means that the dealers cover the storage costs and don't pay Merc UK for the cars until they are actually sold to private/corporate customers. I bought a £57K GL320CDI this year, hardly 'top of the pops' the car was within the Statstone dealer network and had to be transported to my supplying dealer. I suspect it is the same story for the ML63 AMG.

We were given an allocation of a face-lift car; as an AMG centre we have to have a 4 AMG vehicles in stock at any-time, hence being given this behemoth in the current market!! If we don't sell it, it will probably be registered as a demonstrator in the New Year.
Thanks for the compliment BTW

Can vouch for Matt being a genuinely nice guy.
Never realised you had to have 4 AMG's in stock?? Is that in each dealership or across your network?

The standards for 2009 have just been released and they have relaxed the rules regarding the number of AMG's we keep, but last year we needed to ave 4 to be a performance centre.

so matc what kind of deal could you do on that ml63amg??
also when does the tenth anniversery ml63amg arrive in the uk?
I'll pm you the spec of the car whne I get a chance, and see if it's something you moght be interested in; I assume you would rather talk about the money side of things via e-mail so I'll do that.also when does the tenth anniversery ml63amg arrive in the uk?
We haven't had a confirmed date for the 10th anniversary yet, but I would expect it to be due in Spetember/October, considering the long build-times for ML's.
but you could pick this one up for alot less, ok its no a facelift but what a car for the money!!!

Would it not be better to hire one???
You can hire a new one for £1150 a month over 2 years, the fact a year old one has shed £25k in year one and will shed another £10-15k in year two meaning even if you bought cash you would be loosing £1460 a month if things don't get worse.
I would rather let someone else take the risk myself at the moment and know I can throw the keys back.
What if that car is trading at £25k in 2 years?? That is a £50k hit.
