SL55 AMG mirror trim

My 2004 SL55 has got a rubber trim around the glass on the driver's door mirror but not on the passenger side.

Is it missing or doesn't the passenger mirror have one?

Assuming these are the same as a normal SL500 mirror - I'll take a look in the morning.

Interesting point, so I look at my SL & S BiTurbos and neither have rubber
trim round the nearside mirrors.
The rubber trim is there but is recessed just behind the rim of the mirror.
Had the SL from new so that's the way they are.

I'm pretty sure it's to do with the mirror on the offside being anti-glare?

MB have confirmed what you've all said - there is no rubber trim as the two mirrors are different.
