E320 CDI Estate. W210

Just acquired a post facelift E320CDI Estate with no Owners Handbooks whatsoever. Can anyone help me out with a copy or an idea as to where to get them. Audio 30 installed.

Also there is a switch in the front ashtray. What's it for??

Pops out the ashtray for emptying IIRC.

On my lastE300 TD it did that. This is an actual electrical switch with wavy lines like a heated rear window switch!

It turns the auxiliary heater on and off for quicker warm up in winter IIRC

Its normally electric , the earlier cars had webasto type deisel heaters

Does it sit in the bottom of the engine or is it a heater for the cabin? Thanks.

It warms the engine up quicker only comes on when the temp is below 7 degrees iirc


I have not noticed any benefit on or off to be honest
