2003 CLK Hi-level brake light just fell off!?

This afternoon I shut (didn't slam) the boot on my wifes 2003 CLK and the hi-level brake light fell off! The red lense fell to the ground and the LEDs and holder etc fell into bootlid void. Can't get at it without taking boot trim off etc, so will take it to dealers asap. Just wondered if anyone else had had this happen? Very odd - worse bl**dy build quality than my Land Rover!

...and following on from yesterday's post, the hood wouldn't go down this afternoon! So we had to drive home on such a lovely day, with the hood up.
