W202 door speakers

I've done a quick google but can't find any quick answers. The speakers in my C class estate are a bit beyond their best - i.e. bass causes them to distort even at quite low volume - so I'm thinking about changing them but can't get any details on diameter or depth.

Has anyone here changed their door speakers and can you recommend any. FWIW I'll probably be linking them up to a cheap and cheerful 4x40 pioneer head unit.

I have Diamond Audio D363.5 in the front doors / A pillars of my W202. These do fit however they required quite a bit of additional install work as they are components.

Size of the woofer on these were:

Mounting Depth: 58mm
Mounting Diameter: 136mm

These were slighty too large for the aftermarket speaker adaptors available and required cutting of the adaptor and fitment of an 6mm MDF spacer. For ease of fitment I would go for a speaker which has a mounting depth/diameter of a couple mm less than stated above if possible.

got a c class saloon.guessing the front door panel fit will be the same.i bought a set of infinity speakers,think my front ones were 13 cm.got my fade set more to the back but they sound good.hope this helps.
